SBRO financial services were created in 1999/2000 when four financial advisers decided to combine their knowledge and expertise to build a respected and trusted financial services company in the North-Eastern Free State.

Founding members, Marius Stoffberg, Willie Botha, Stephan Redelinghuys & Nols Odendaal holds more than 100 years combined experience in the financial industry. These directors have the knowledge, requirements and qualifications to manage, in conjunction with the partners of SBRO Fund Managers, client funds in a sound and professional manner. The first letter of these founder members' surnames was used to establish the name and brand which has since become a household name in South Africa - S.B.R.O. 

The business acumen and efficiency of the SBRO decision makers had made it possible to accommodate an increase in its directorate to now host 9 persons. There is a significant balance in the composition of its directors and it varies from the youthful exuberance of young directors, which provides the innovative thinking which are so sought - after in the financial industry, to the stability and calmness of the experienced senior directors. This blend of directors of various ages ensures that an answer exist to the conundrum so often faced by financial services firms, in the question of succession planning.
